Bulga tree-sit Diary day 25 No rain o/night, temp fluctuating warm/cool. heard black cockatoos in the rain yesterday morning, probably yellow tails, the red tail Glossies have been even rarer to spot since the big fires hammered their Casurina feed trees. I took this picture of one of the casuarinas with a king Parrot? in a mistletoe. There is a real metallic “shing” to one of the repetitive calls of the Lyre Birds here, l wonder if they mimic the sound of logging machinery. so many different Owl calls overnight but no Barking Owl. excess of sleep caught up with me, didn’t need to sleep from 2am. 7.40am a truck just went past heading north. not jinker had 2 machines on looked like mini dozers (hard to tell) orange & black.
