“Please do make the effort. When the voices multiply they will be heard. No time left to procrastinate, it is the thief of time , time our wildlife and forests do not have. Let’s do this! End native forest logging now!”

Bulga tree-sit Diary  day 52

The day began with the incredible birdsong and a gentle breeze , that carried leaves in a dance to the forest floor. Butterflies join in with effortless grace. As the human watching, I feel even more aware of my clumsiness.
Thunder, lightning, wind and rain are the next moods that drift into the forest. I am suddenly reminded of this incredible power nature can evoke in an instant
Being high in the tree tops when a storm is doing it’s thing, reveals how insignificant we can be next to the power of nature in a storm. My thoughts move to the importance of this storm event. The forest providing a place for water catchments to be replenished, purifying and cleansing water and air for the benefit of all life. Stabilising weather patterns, being a carbon sink, providing so many important roles in keeping our world livable
I hear the crashing of a tree falling , and as a part of an intricate and complex system , will continue to support life on the forest floor.
Forests are keeping us alive! In a country that has one of the highest skin cancers in the world, it is really stupid to be also one of the worst for clearing all our forests, our cooling systems.
May we collectively choose to care, have gratitude and love for the planet that provides all our needs.. everything.
Saving the forests we have and assisting the rewilding in the places we have scared, could be a really good way of life for all. Just being here in the embrace of a giant tree, there is no question they must stay! Letters , emails and phone calls to politicians can really assist those taking action. Please do make the effort. When the voices multiply they will be heard. No time left to procrastinate, it is the thief of time , time our wildlife and forests do not have. Let’s do this! End native forest logging now!
