Nearby Whip Bird very loud this morning. constant light rain, l’m in the clouds. l have named this tree “Rock Steady” no matter how much wind no movement up here. sit gets buffeted – tarp/roof battened down is like a sail but the pleasant sound of the rain smattering puts me straight to sleep. every spare scrap of rope came in handy securing the sit from last night’s wild storm, used an old damaged piece threaded under the platform to stop wind/rain coming in from west. late last night there was one of those close lightning strikes where eveything goes silent then BOOM!
As I play wordle with a ground crew person they tell me there is an amazing courageous action at Yarrat State Forest this morning, GO Protectors!
