Bulga tree-sit Diary  day44

Winged ants fill the sunrise air, looking for a new perfect place to colonise. Discarded lacey wings float downward in spirals to gently land on the platform.

These creatures are yet another vital link in this ecosystem, feeding on other creatures that attack the tree. Under the ground, they are also vital as soil aerators and nutrient givers especially in rocky country where worms are scarce.

Every organism has evolved to fill a niche. We are all connected by these niches.
