Currently about 2000 ha of Bulga forest on Biripi Country is in the Forestry plan for logging, and logging operations commenced in October 2024.

We are having regular meetings from 5.30pm in Elands.

Find us at Blackhead Bazaar Markets today until 1pm, Sunday 5th March 2023.
Election Pizza Party at Falls Camp
Let’s join together at our lovely Ellenborough Falls Camp to watch the NSW election results on the big screen! Starts at 6pm on Saturday 25th MAR. We’ll be cooking pizzas so bring some delicious toppings and settle in for a spicy slice of politics 🍕🍕
World Wildlife Day
A Greater Glider, Quoll, Masked Owl, Yellow-bellied Glider, Pygmy Possum, Glossy Black Cockatoo and Koala will be in town on World Wildlife Day asking for help to find new homes. They have been displaced since their forest homes were destroyed by giant logging machines, sent in by the NSW Government.
What do we want?

Immediately stop logging in all Greater Glider and Koala habitat in Bulga State Forest

For Bulga Forest to be added to the Biriwal Bulga and Tapin Tops National Parks and

Manage the public forest estate for the public good: biodiversity, carbon, water, recreation and not damage it for the profit of a few.

Day 24, Diary from a treesitter in the Bulga State Forest
Bulga Forest Sit Diary. Still rainy and cool here. lt is very cave-like with the black inside of the tarp tied down around me, adds to the isolation without the view.

Sit Diary. Nearby Whip Bird very loud this morning. constant light rain, l’m in the clouds. l have named this tree “Rock Steady”

Bursts of heavy fluttering noise from the forest floor, don’t know what that is, Lyre Bird mound is empty. Woke to cool fog coming up the gully to finally white out.
