Currently about 2000 ha of Bulga forest on Biripi Country is in the Forestry plan for logging, and logging operations commenced in October 2024.

Day 50 celebration of protecting this forest!
Last night was an enchanting celestial display. The air seemed especially crystal clear and still. Milky way stars sparkled jewelled light that silhouetted the towering trees beside this giant, making their leaves look like black filigree lace.
Light years apart but seemingly entwined as one.

In the purple predawn light, a microbat fluttered around the tent snatching it’s winged food from the crisp morning air.
