Sit Diary. Finally some stars come out after so much cloud.
l see only 2 species of ant up here – small black nonbiting (thank goodness) ones who used to come into the tent through a couple of holes near the zip until I sewed them up. but then l came back from a climb & smelled a very anty smell at the doorway thought l must have trodden on some inadvertently only to find a bunch of them apparently spitting formic acid onto the plastic insect screen so gave up trying to keep them out.
The other ones are those Red Spider Ants the long legged orange ones with the black thorax who don’t bother with me just make their wandery way upwards carrying their impossible loads…..
