SAVE BULGA FOREST MEETING BULGA LOGGING SCHEDULED TO START ON MAY 20
There’s currently about 2000 ha of Bulga forest being planned for logging. About 10 times more than they started last time. At the moment Forestry are saying they will start on May 20.

Save Bulga Forest citizen scientists have captured some rare footage of a baby Greater Glider poking out of its mother’s pouch, its tail especially visible.
What do we want?

Immediately stop logging in all Greater Glider and Koala habitat in Bulga State Forest

For Bulga Forest to be added to the Biriwal Bulga and Tapin Tops National Parks and

Manage the public forest estate for the public good: biodiversity, carbon, water, recreation and not damage it for the profit of a few.

Day 39, Diary from a treesitter in the Bulga State Forest
The clouds have parted again this morning, revealing a cartoonishly blue sky in their wake. The forest soundscape erupts and softens rhythmically through the hills that stretch across the horizon, each a different colour to the one before.

Day 38!! I woke up late last night, bleary eyed and slightly damp, to crawl out of bed and haphazardly tie down the tarp, drifting off again to light tapping of rain above me. When I next awoke, a soft mist was crawling over the sides of the valley and weaving through the trees below, obscuring the usual view of rolling forest hills against the now paper white sky
